Our free virtual training sessions will help you to learn all about the fantastic role of 111 and 999 call handling and will introduce you to the importance of Patient Care, Confidentiality, Safeguarding, and Equality & Diversity within the Health Service.

Opportunities available in Bicester, Milton Keynes and Winchester (Otterbourne)

The programmes will also help you to improve your employability skills, making you a stronger applicant by offering interview hints & tips, CV writing guidance, a mock interview and live interview feedback.

We will then continue to support you throughout your application journey.

By attending this course, you will:

  • Learn more about South Central Ambulance Service and what they're looking for

  • Learn about the recruitment process

  • Receive mock interview and live interview feedback

  • Receive CV writing guidance

  • Learn more about the roles on offer

As a 999 Emergency Call Taker – you’ll be:

  • Responding to 999 calls to provide support and assistance to patients over the phone

  • Working in the ambulance control centre alongside Dispatchers, Clinicians and other NHS professionals.

  • Directly involved with live 999 ambulance emergency calls, dealing with potential life and death calls from members of the public.

As a 111 Health Advisor, you will:

  • Take a variety of incoming calls from patients

  • Provide patients with an appropriate response to urgent healthcare needs within a timeframe

This response could range from booking a GP appointment, advising them to attend an out of hour’s service or even dispatching an ambulance. For more information about this course or the roles on offer, sign up, and a member of the team will be in touch.

  • You must be based in the UK and have the right to work

  • You must be 18-30-years-old

  • You must have a full UK driving license

  • Good standard of education (i.e 2 GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above including English) or equivalent customer service experience.
