Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust provide provide mental health, learning disability, and autism services to people across Greater Manchester and beyond. They serve a population of 1.3 million people with over 3,800 staff across six Greater Manchester boroughs.

  • Their mental health teams provide care and treatment for people with mild to moderate conditions such as depression, anxiety or dementia, or more serious mental health illnesses such as schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder. They run talking therapies, drug and alcohol services, psychiatric intensive care, rehabilitation services, military veterans' services, and more.

  • Their learning disability services are for people with a moderate to profound level of learning disability, such as those with downs syndrome.

By attending this course, you will gain the support you need to get a place as an Healthcare Assistant Apprentice, kickstarting your career in this field. This includes:

  • Gaining sector knowledge, including an understanding of the roles and career progression

  • Improve your employment skills by upgrading your CV and mastering interview techniques

  • Dedicated support through a TRAC application form

  • Attend a guaranteed place at the Assessment Day with Pennine Care.

Everything else you need to know will be taught on the job and you do not need any previous work experience.

  • You must be based in the UK and have the right to work

  • You must be 18-30-years-old

  • You must have lived in the UK for the last 3 years

  • You must have level two qualifications in both English and Maths

  • You must be willing to travel to both Oldham and Tameside
